Influence & Inspiration

Studying in a field of film, I don’t really see myself having particular preferences on a certain person, a director, producer or filmmaker…etc., for his/her strong point in his/ her works. Besides, I like to apply multiple angels of interpreting the storyline and the script while viewing the same film. It may take 2-3 times of watching a movie or a short fragment of a film, however, this is probably the reason which I want to get involved in filmmaking.

I watched the beginning part of the film The Dark Knight for several times due to the reason that I think Christopher Nolan, the director of this film creates a suspensory opening clip which leads the audience into the story of violence directly. As a matter of fact, Christopher Nolan handles the concept of robbery with the coordination between Joker and his personality into the story in a right feeling, a feeling of compactness and explicitness. On the other hand, I like this opening scene in light of the “stepping sound effect”. Looking closer to the audio part of this film, the steps while those robbers are moving toward the bank have been well-captured and well-processed with countable sounds. In the other word, you may capture the stepping in your mind while you are viewing the scene in front of you screen.

The Acting part of a film is also the central element which will determine on how classical the film is. Inside the movie that Eddie Redmayne, the main character who is acting in both male and female gender, has some spectacular acting skills which add up the superb of the story. Despite the controversial issues that the audience sees the story as itself with different point of views and arguments, I personally like how Eddie Redmayne put his effort on acting as a woman. For instance, the pretending part of modeling Lily, and the dating partner for the banquet.
